Wed!!!

Well it was a very busy day, Lot's of running around!! and orders to fill...each day we get more And more clients from the neighborhood, with special request which is really good, worked till 10:45pm since 8:am this morning, so I'm pretty tired so I won't bore you with details tonight...

We did accomplish a lot though, we finally got heat, we got the lights in the work room fixed, and we got a FREE cooler to store flowers thanks to Jim from my designing school.

trying to get the store ready for Ribbon Cutting, a week from tomorrow, hm mm...it's going to be cutting it close. But somehow it will get done....lots of long days ahead. OK well I guess this is it for tonight...talk tomorrow....good night Mel

Tuesday!!!

Well today was a day to start getting ready for our ribbon cutting, decorate for Christmas....talked my husband to help decorating the building with Linda,so that frees me to tofinish decorating inside, we had a couple good friends stopping by, to say hi...It was great seeing them......Heidie one of my best friends loved the shop....she said it's like coming to our house but it's a business, homey, and comfortable.It made me feel great that she loved the store, because I value her opinion.....it's great our friends or family coming and visit, and I'm always trying to put everybody to work.....FREE LABOR IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR A NEW BUSINESS.....HA HA HA !!!! Linda and I appreciate all the help and support ....we love them very much and it's been great sharing Morning Glory with our family and friends... OK I think that's it for tonight time for bed, WE are getting heat at Morning Glory tomorrow yeah yeah yeah!!!!

Monday!!!

Well what can i say,I'm not crazy about Mondays!!! It's been a busy day!! Everybody is asking for Christmas wreaths, trees, I make my own Christmas trees, they are quite beautiful, I do them with all the different evergreens, Christmas Time is my favorite time of the year! But this year is bittersweet, I love what I'm doing but so many things have changed that sometimes it makes me quite sad ...Morning Glory is something I waited my whole life for but my life is very different, I spent a lot of time by myself, and believe it or not that's not always good...(sometimes it is ).

I love working with my partner Linda but until we get busier she has another job on the side at night, so I miss not having my girls with me here working and sharing, It's just so much more fun having them around...Not only they are our staff, but they are also our friends.... I know that It's just a matter of time before we can have them back, but for now I feel pretty lonely...not having the girls here that means I'm here very long hours and I guess it's getting to me emotionally!!! and physically. I'm grateful for the progress we have made in such a short time, so I guess I better stop whining....I'm sorry... I know it will get better!!! OK if I'm going to do trees I better go...Thanks for listening Mel

Sunday!!!!

I hope everybody had a great Sunday. It's been a great Sunday for me!!!! My show at David's Bridal was a hit!!! the brides loved the bridal bouquets that i designed...."Thank God". It was great...the staff at David's Bridal are FANTASTIC!!! Well as for last night the martinis didn't happen...

After work the martinis didn't sound so good, so postponed for another day!!!!! well that's the news I have for today!!! Nice cuddly night at home sounded much better!!!!!

I would like everybody to know December 11, 2008 we Will be having the OFFICIAL RIBBON CUTTING for Morning Glory, if you live in RI please join us...good night Mel

Saturday!!!

Hi everybody!

It's Saturday and it's another long day at Morning Glory, I'm doing bridal party bouquets for David's Bridal, I was invited as a Guest to show my bouquets, the staff at David's Bridal are out of this world!!!! So when they asked me to design bouquets for their show I just couldn't say no...
but i guess it's going to be another seven day week!!!!!

I'm hoping to get out at a decent hour!!!
meeting friends, haven't seen them in a while and to be honest i could use a break!!! I'm just about designed out!!!!!! it will be nice to catch up on everything over a few drinks....thinking Espresso martinis will do....I have to be honest as much as I love my job sometimes it gets kind of lonely, I can't wait until my girls can come back, it's a lot more fun....but the way the economy is going who knows when that's going to be...so I guess I better get used spending a lot of nights by myself....ha ha ha !!!!!

Thank God that my friends love me enough if I don't go to them they come to me!!! So We might be having those martinis here if i don't get going.....ha ha ha !!!So have a great night and I will let you know how my show went and also how good those martinis were........Mel

IT'S MONDAY!!!!!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Well It's Monday! It's going to be a busy week!!! We are hoping!!!! But first of all I need to thank Meredi, for the patience, and support. I'm so sorry I derailed you plans for the weekend.I know you had your weekend planed, but I called and you came running......very typical of you, you are always there for everybody, your family, your friends, what would we do without you, love you!!! Thank you!!!!
Well I'm trying to very hard to make you proud of me.

Today I'm hoping that the Holiday Season will be a good one!!! We just opened up the Morning Glory Store two months ago, so I'm really not sure what to expect. We are looking forward to see what happens. WE LOVE OUR STORE AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE SEEING YOU, PLEASE COME AND SEE US YOU WON'T BE SORRY, HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE, CHAT WITH ME AND LINDA, AND GET BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS, THANKS , HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!

TIP OF HE DAY

Thanksgiving is upon us, when you order you table centerpiece choose the one with beautiful greenery, preferably one that has pine , ceders, holly, and fall colors, with a candle, after thanksgiving, once your home is decorated for Christmas, take your centerpiece back to your florist and ask them to add more Christmas colors to the design, this is very cost effective, they will only charge you for the flowers added, and labor, since all you Christmas greens are already incorporated in the design. Most florist will be more than happy to refresh the centerpiece. Make sure that you add water to the centerpiece everyday, to keep it as fresh as possible.
